株式会社テックドクター（代表取締役：湊 和修、本社：東京都中央区、以下、テックドクター）は、シンガポール経営大学 /Singapore Management University（以下、SMU）傘下の教育機関であるSMUアカデミー およびデジタルヘルス分野の専門家チームを東京オフィスに招き、「デジタルヘルスとスマートヘルスケアのイノベーション」をテーマとした交流セッションを開催しました。
本セッションには、SMUアカデミーからの代表団23名が参加し、シンガポール国立大学をはじめとするアカデミア、ヘルスケア関連企業、国防省関係者など、多様な分野の専門家が来日しました。
当日は、医療・ヘルスケア分野におけるAIおよびデータ活用に関する最新の知見や事例を中心に、両国の専門家による意見が交わされ、日本側のゲストとして順天堂大学の矢野裕一朗 先生が登壇し、日本の医療現場におけるAI大規模言語モデル（LLM）の応用事例や医療データ解析の実践知見について講演を行いました。
また、SMUアカデミーの代表団からは、保険・デジタルヘルスケア分野の最新動向、高齢者介護サービスのイノベーション、アジア太平洋地域における睡眠テクノロジーのトレンドなど、シンガポール発の先進的な取り組みが紹介されました。
ディスカッションでは、シンガポール政府が推進する「Healthier SG」構想と、日本のAI・データ駆動型医療の知見をいかに融合し得るかをテーマに活発な意見交換が行われ、両国のヘルステック・エコシステムの連携強化に向けた方向性が共有されました。
テックドクターは今後も、SMUアカデミーをはじめとするシンガポールの研究機関や医療機関との協働を通じ、共同研究のパイロットプロジェクト、デジタルバイオマーカーの共同開発、患者ケアの高度化など、国際的な医療DXの推進に取り組んでまいります。

* デジタルバイオマーカー
デジタルバイオマーカーとは、スマートフォンやウェアラブルデバイスなどから取得される日常的な生体データをもとに、疾患の有無や病状の変化、治療の効果を連続的かつ客観的に評価する指標です。
従来のバイオマーカーは、医療機関で一時的に測定される「点のデータ」でしたが、デジタルバイオマーカーは日常生活の「線のデータ」を継続的に取得できる点が特徴です。運動、睡眠、心拍などの指標をもとに、病気の早期発見や治療モニタリング、さらには薬剤開発における新たなエンドポイントとしても期待されています。海外では2019年頃から開発が進み、国内でも注目が高まっています。

TechDoctor Hosts Exchange Session with Singapore’s SMU Academy on Digital Health

TOKYO - TechDoctor Inc. (Representative Director: Kazumichi Minato, Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter, TechDoctor) hosted an exchange session on the theme of "Digital Health and Smart Healthcare Innovation" at its Tokyo office, welcoming a delegation from the SMU Academy, the continuing education unit under Singapore Management University (SMU), and a team of digital health experts.
The session was attended by 23 delegates from SMU Academy, comprising experts from diverse fields including academia (such as the National University of Singapore), healthcare-related companies, and the Ministry of Defence.
The day featured an exchange of views between experts from both countries, focusing on the latest knowledge and case studies concerning the utilization of AI and data in the medical and healthcare sectors. Professor Yuichiro Yano of Juntendo University presented as a guest from the Japanese side, lecturing on practical knowledge regarding the application of AI Large Language Models (LLM) in Japanese clinical settings and medical data analysis.
Furthermore, the SMU Academy delegation introduced cutting-edge Singapore-originated initiatives, including the latest trends in insurance and digital healthcare, innovation in eldercare services, and sleep technology trends in the Asia-Pacific region.
The discussion included a lively exchange of ideas on how the Singapore government's "Healthier SG" initiative could be fused with Japan's expertise in AI and data-driven medicine, sharing a direction for strengthening the collaboration between the HealthTech ecosystems of both nations.
Moving forward, TechDoctor will continue to promote international medical DX by collaborating with Singaporean research institutions and medical organizations, including SMU Academy, through joint research pilot projects, co-development of digital biomarkers, and advanced patient care.

* Digital Biomarkers
A Digital Biomarker is a metric derived from continuous, objective physiological and behavioral data collected using smart devices, wearable sensors, etc. to explain, influence, and/or predict health-related outcomes. Unlike traditional biomarkers, which are often "point data" measured temporarily in a medical setting, digital biomarkers are characterized by the continuous acquisition of "line data" from daily life. Based on metrics such as activity, sleep, and heart rate, they are expected to be used for early disease detection, treatment monitoring, and as new endpoints in drug development. Development has been advancing overseas since around 2019, and attention is also increasing in Japan.
