カザフスタンKazAzot社と脱炭素・尿素肥料分野での協力に関するMOUを締結

東洋エンジニアリング株式会社(代表取締役 取締役社長 CEO 細井 栄治、以下TOYO)は、カザフスタン共和国の化学肥料製造会社であるKazAzot Prime LLP(以下KazAzot)と、脱炭素化および尿素肥料分野での協力を目的とした覚書（MOU）を締結したことを、2025年12月20日に東京で開催された「中央アジア＋日本ビジネスフォーラム」で発表しました。

カザフスタンが位置する中央アジアは、豊富な天然資源を有し、近年その地政学的重要性が高まっています。日本政府は同地域との連携強化を推進し、「中央アジア＋日本ビジネスフォーラム」が開催されるなか、TOYOも中央アジアにおけるビジネス展開を進めています。
2025年9月には、TOYOの尿素造粒ライセンスが、KazAzotがカザフスタンで建設を計画している尿素肥料プラントに採用されました。これを契機に、KazAzotとMOUを締結し協力をさらに深めることとなりました。
カザフスタンは国の産業が化石燃料に大きく依存しており、脱炭素化が急務となっています。一方で、食料の安定供給に向けた肥料の増産にも力を入れており、KazAzotはこの両分野で広く国に貢献する計画を進めています。
TOYOは尿素において自社技術を保有するだけでなく、クリーンアンモニアをはじめとする脱炭素案件での知見を多く有しています。今回のMOU締結は、両社の協力関係をさらに強化し、将来的な脱炭素および肥料案件の実現に向けた重要な一歩となります。
TOYOは、尿素技術のライセンサーとして培ってきた技術力を通じて、カザフスタンの食糧供給安定化に貢献します。また、脱炭素ソリューションの提案により、同国のエネルギー転換を支援し、持続可能な社会の実現に寄与します。今後もTOYOは、中央アジアにおける事業展開を加速し、グローバルな競争力強化を目指します。

TOYO Signs MOU with Kazakhstan's KazAzot for Collaboration in Decarbonization and Urea Fertilizer Fields
Toyo Engineering Corporation (President and CEO: Eiji Hosoi, TOYO) announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with KazAzot Prime LLP ("KazAzot"), a chemical fertilizer manufacturer in the Republic of Kazakhstan, to collaborate on decarbonization initiatives and the urea fertilizer business. The announcement was made on December 20, 2025, at the "Central Asia + Japan Business Forum" in Tokyo.

Central Asia, including Kazakhstan, is rich in natural resources, and its geopolitical importance has grown in recent years. As the government of Japan strengthens engagement with the region, including through the "Central Asia + Japan Business Forum", TOYO is also expanding its business development in Central Asia.
In September 2025, TOYO’s proprietary urea granulation technology was selected for a urea plant project planned by KazAzot in Kazakhstan. Building on this milestone, TOYO and KazAzot signed the MOU to further advance cooperation.
Kazakhstan's industrial base remains heavily dependent on fossil fuels, making decarbonization an urgent priority. At the same time, the country is increasing fertilizer production to help ensure a stable food supply, and KazAzot is pursuing initiatives that contribute to both objectives.
TOYO not only possesses proprietary urea technology, but also brings extensive experience in decarbonization-related projects, including clean ammonia. This MOU marks an important step in strengthening the relationship between the two companies and advancing future decarbonization and fertilizer projects.
As a long-established urea technology licensor, TOYO will contribute to and support Kazakhstan’s stable food supply by leveraging its technology and engineering capabilities. In addition, through decarbonization solutions, TOYO will support the country's energy transition and contribute to the realization of a more sustainable society. TOYO will continue to expand its business presence in Central Asia while further strengthening its global competitiveness.
