スリランカ Hayleys Lifesciences社とのMOU(覚書)締結について

株式会社サリバテック（本社：山形県鶴岡市、代表取締役：砂村眞琴、以下「当社」）は2026年2月23日、スリランカのHayleys Lifesciences (Pvt) Ltd.（以下「Hayleys社」）とスリランカにおける、だ液を用いたがんリスク検査の有効性の検証に向けた共同研究を定めたMOUを締結しました。

サリバチェッカーのように、家庭など任意の場所で身体的負担なく検体の採取が可能なスクリーニング検査は、自宅を含めどこでも、身体的負担を最小限に抑えて検体を採取できるため、高度で非侵襲的な診断ソリューションへのアクセスを拡大することで、医療の成果を向上させる可能性を秘めています。
今後は、コロンボ大学 生化学・分子生物学・生物工学研究所(IBMBB)と協力して、だ液メタボロームの補正技術開発を進めてまいります。
調印式はHayleysグループ本社（コロンボ）で行われ、磯俣秋男在スリランカ日本国大使、Hayleysグループ会長Mohan Pandithage氏、Hayleysライフサイエンス社長 Wasaba Jayasekera氏、JICAスリランカ事務所からは担当職員が、JETROコロンボ事務所からは代表が出席しました。本締結は伊藤忠商事の仲介によるもので、ムンバイ・シンガポール・コロンボの各拠点から幹部が出席しました。
当社のだ液によるがんリスク検査「サリバチェッカー」は、だ液中の代謝物の濃度を高精度に分析し、測定されただ液中の代謝物の特徴が、がんの方とがんでない方のどちらに近いかをAI（学習モデル）で解析することで、現在のがん罹患リスクを評価するサービスです。採血不要・非侵襲で、国内では11万人以上の利用実績があります。
Hayleys社はスリランカ最大の上場コングロマリットであるHayleysグループの医療子会社です。医療機器・分析機器・消耗品・試薬および関連サービスの輸入から流通までを手がけています。
当社代表取締役の砂村眞琴は「だ液によるがんリスク検査は、からだの変化を早期にとらえ、早期がん・前がん病変段階で介入できる社会をつくるために生まれました。スリランカの皆さんのウェルビーイングに貢献できることを心から願っています」と述べました。
だ液によるがんリスク検査『サリバチェッカー』
だ液中の代謝物の濃度を高精度に分析し、AI（学習モデル）で解析することで、現在のがん罹患リスクを評価します。自宅でだ液を採取し、サリバテックへ返送するだけで検査が完結しますので、からだに負担をかけることなく、一度の検査で複数のがん（男性は肺がん、胃がん、大腸がん、膵がん、口腔がんの5種、女性は乳がんを加えた6種）それぞれのリスクを評価することが可能です。サリバチェッカーの検査結果を参考に適切に医療機関を受診していただくことで、がんの早期発見と早期介入に寄与します。

SalivaTech Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tsuruoka, Yamagata; Representative Director: Makoto Sunamura; hereinafter "the Company") signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on February 23, 2026 with Hayleys Lifesciences (Pvt) Ltd. (hereinafter "Hayleys") of Sri Lanka. The MOU establishes a framework for joint research aimed at validating the efficacy of saliva-based cancer risk screening in Sri Lanka.

Screening tests such as SalivaChecker-which allow sample collection anywhere, including at home, with minimal physical burden-have the potential to enhance healthcare outcomes by expanding access to advanced, non-invasive diagnostic solutions.
Going forward, the Company will work in collaboration with the Institute of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (IBMBB) at the University of Colombo to develop correction technologies for salivary metabolome analysis adapted to the Sri Lankan population.
The signing ceremony was held at the Hayleys Group headquarters in Colombo and was attended by H.E. Akio ISOMATA, Ambassador Japan to Sri Lanka; Mr. Mohan Pandithage, Chairman and Chief Executive of Hayleys PLC; Dr. Wasaba Jayasekera, Managing Director of Hayleys Lifesciences; and representatives from the JICA Sri Lanka Office and JETRO Colombo Office. The MOU was facilitated by ITOCHU Corporation, with senior executives attending from its Mumbai, Singapore, and Colombo offices.
The Company’s saliva-based cancer risk test “SalivaChecker” precisely analyzes the concentrations of metabolites in saliva and uses AI (machine learning models) to determine how closely the metabolite profile resembles that of cancer patients versus healthy individuals, thereby assessing the individual’s current cancer risk. The test requires no blood draw and is non-invasive, with a track record of over 110,000 users in Japan.
Hayleys Lifesciences is the healthcare subsidiary of Hayleys Group, Sri Lanka’s largest listed conglomerate. The company handles the import and distribution of medical devices, analytical instruments, consumables, reagents, and related services.
Representative Director Makoto Sunamura commented: “This saliva-based cancer risk test was created to build a society where changes in the body can be detected early, and intervention can occur at the early cancer or pre-cancerous stage. SalivaChecker precisely analyzes the concentrations of metabolites present in saliva using AI (machine learning models) to assess current cancer risk. The test is completed simply by collecting saliva at home and returning the sample to SalivaTech, making it non-invasive and physically burden-free. A single test can assess the risk of multiple cancers-five types for men (lung, stomach, colorectal, pancreatic, and oral cancers) and six types for women (with the addition of breast cancer).
