Asian Rural Institute's "Living Kindly with Neighbors" Campaign Concludes with ¥4,343,630 in Support ― Western Japan Study Tour to Begin on November 10
The ¥2.2 million goal was reached, along with an additional ¥2.14 million to help this year's participants study with peace of mind through their graduation in December. We will share reports from the Study Tour in the weeks ahead.
The Asian Rural Institute (ARI, Nasushiobara City, Tochigi Prefecture; Representative: Toshimasa Yamamoto) concluded its "Living Kindly with Neighbors" donation campaign for the Western Japan Study Tour on September 30. Thanks to this support, ARI reached its target of ¥2.2 million and will be able to hold the Western Japan Study Tour again this year. In addition, we received ¥2.14 million in support that will help this year's participants study with peace of mind through their graduation in December.

■ What's Next: The Western Japan Study Tour Begins on November 10
Although the campaign has ended, the learning of ARI's rural community leaders is just beginning. During the Western Japan Study Tour, starting November 10, participants will travel to Hiroshima, Minamata, and the Kansai region to learn firsthand about peace, pollution, multicultural coexistence, and organic farming. Who will they meet, what will they feel, and what will they take home? We will share their journey in on-the-ground reports at a later date.
ARI will continue its work of nurturing leaders who strive to "live kindly with neighbors."
About the "Living Kindly with Neighbors" Fundraising Campaign
The "Western Japan Study Tour" takes ARI participants (rural community leaders) out of the classroom for a 12-day journey through Hiroshima, Minamata, and the Kansai region to learn firsthand about peace, pollution, multicultural coexistence, and organic farming. It is a highly important program that empowers them to bring this knowledge home and create positive change in their own communities. However, due to recent factors such as soaring prices, we faced a shortage of funds to continue and enhance this training. To overcome this challenge, we ran a crowdfunding campaign from August 1 to September 30, and thanks to the support of so many people, we were able to make this year's Study Tour a reality.
