倉敷中央病院、電子カルテシステムをNutanix Cloud Platformへ移行 ～業務を効率化と運用管理負荷の大幅削減を実現～

ニュータニックス・ジャパン合同会社（本社：東京都千代田区、代表執行役員社長：金古 毅、以下 Nutanix）は本日、公益財団法人 大原記念倉敷中央医療機構 倉敷中央病院（所在地：岡山県倉敷市、院長：寺井 章人、以下、倉敷中央病院）が電子カルテシステムを、部門システム向け基盤として運用していたNutanix Cloud Platform上に移行したことを発表しました。今回の移行は、わずか6時間で完了。業務効率化により運用管理の負荷が大幅に軽減され、リソースを前向きな施策に充てることができるようになりました。
倉敷中央病院は、1970年代から病院業務のシステム化に取り組み、経営改革の一環としてIT化を推進してきました。早期から電子カルテシステムをインターネット接続で運用し、ゼロトラスト型セキュリティを採用するなど、先進的な取り組みを進めてきました。2024年4月に施行された医師の働き方改革を契機に、RPAなどを活用した医療DXが加速する一方で、診療報酬制度の変化、人手不足、人件費高騰などにより病院経営は逼迫。インフラの効率的な運用と投資効果の最大化が重要な課題となっています。また、ランサムウェア対策など、外部環境の変化に対応するため、システムの安定稼働と運用負荷の軽減が求められていました。同院では、2021年から調剤、検体検査、放射線、看護、物流管理、会計事務などの部門システムにおいてNutanix Cloud Platformを活用。安定した運用実績と高い信頼性が評価され、今回、電子カルテシステムも同基盤に移行することとなりました。

・診療を止めることなく電子カルテシステムをスムーズに更新
倉敷中央病院のような1,000床以上の大規模病院では、電子カルテシステムの更新には長時間の診療停止を伴うことが一般的です。今回の移行は、わずか6時間で完了し、利用者が気づかないほどスムーズに更新が行われました。これにより、業務への影響を最小限に抑え、患者ケアに集中できる環境が整いました。
・業務効率化と運用管理負荷の軽減
医療情報システムの安全管理に関するガイドラインに基づき、セキュリティ確保のためには各機器・ソフトウェアのバージョンアップが不可欠です。従来の3Tier構成では、サーバーやストレージ、ネットワーク機器の更新に数か月を要していましたが、Nutanixのソフトウェアでは数クリックで完了可能。プリチェック機能により事前に問題を検知でき、アップデート作業の負荷が大幅に軽減されました。
今回の移行により、電子カルテ部門システムを含む250～260台のサーバー上で、約60～70のアプリケーションが稼働。今後は300台規模までの拡張を見込んでおり、Nutanix Cloud Platformの導入により、柔軟なサーバーの増減が可能となります。
・災害復旧（DR）を含めた安定的な基盤運用
不測の事態に備え、外部データセンターに災害復旧（DR）サイトを短時間かつ低コストで構築。これにより、高いレジリエンシーと事業継続性を実現し、電力喪失や物理的な障害が発生した場合でも、業務継続が可能な体制を整えました。
倉敷中央病院では、PACS（医療画像管理システム）の地域共同利用が開始されており、院内サーバーおよび院外データセンターに保存されたレントゲン、CT、MRI、超音波画像を参加病院間で共有できる仕組みを構築中です。さらに、電子カルテの共同利用も検討しており、Nutanix Cloud Platform上に設けたストレージを大規模な閉域網を通じて地域で共有する構想が進められています。
